BATHROOM
“Show me your bathroom and I’ll tell you who you are.”
Or
“Your bathroom reflects your personality.”
These old sayings have been going on and though having a busy schedule could be a very good excuse to getting away with an undone bathroom, it may not be convincing to everyone. Besides, who does not want a clean and fragrant bathroom?
You finally decide to do your bathroom, but where do you start? Before you even start buying new accessories, the first step is always to check if there is anything that looks like a problem – like a leaking tube, or a broken piece. You might need to caulk and fix some of these fixtures first. When done, it’s time to decorate!
Here are some tips for you:
Shower curtains – For some, changing the shower curtain is enough to refresh the look of the bathroom, and most of the time, it works. That’s because this piece is usually the first thing that one will notice when entering the bathroom and changing it will surely make the difference. So, if you don’t have one yet, it may be the best time to get yourself one.
Toiletries and bottles – A small space such as your bathroom may look unclean with clutters of tissue and shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles all over the place. To avoid this, you can use a rack to organize them or you can simply group them together in a single corner. They can add to the design accessories, too.
Plants and potpourri – To bring life to your bathroom, a plant is always a good choice. But make sure there is a window where light can come in from the sun to nourish your plant. Other choices are a bit of scent which can come from dried flowers or potpourri.
The bathroom, being the smallest room perhaps in your home, should be easier to clean and decorate, but it’s always best to decorate it last. I’m sure you know why.
